“Shacket” is a masterful mushing of the words “Shirt” and “Jacket,” genius, huh? But that’s exactly what it is - warmer than a shirt, lighter than a jacket. The style actually goes way back to early-1900s military and workwear, when guys needed something tough, warm, and easy to move in. So they’ve been around a while, we just didn’t give ‘em a cool name until recently, and now they are (in our humble opinion) total closet essentials.
How do you style a Shacket?
A shacket plays well with others. Throw it over a Players Shirt, a Slub Cotton Tee, or a Chill Knit Pearl Snap. You really can’t mess it up (just don’t throw it under another shacket), and we’ve tested that theory thoroughly.
Pair it with jeans for a laid-back look, or maybe some Comfort Canvas Pants for a “smart-casual” outfit (just found out what that means).

Criquet’s Shacket Lineup
Right now, we’ve got two kinds of shackets — both ready for whatever’s on your calendar.
The Nylon Quilted Shacket
This has been our best-selling Fall product for the past several years. It’s super lightweight, packable, and stylish as hell. Pearl snaps, diamond quilt, and of course a signature Criquet front pocket. We’ve all seen other nylon puffers that either scream “Finance Bro” or “Granola Hiker,” and this is neither of those things. This is the cool middle ground, and the piece we grab 9 times out of 10.
The Herringbone Shacket
This one is made from a versatile wool blend that’s slightly heavier than its nylon counterpart for added warmth. We used two different yarns to give the Herringbone effect, making for a really nice textured visual boost. This is the kind of piece that instantly elevates any occasion. Polished enough for dinner, comfy enough for Sunday errands. The only downside is when you wear it to dinner, you’re often expected to pick up the check.

Where to Wear It
Short answer: everywhere.
Long answer: The office, your kid’s soccer game, the tailgate, the plane, walking the dog, or low-balling someone on Facebook Marketplace. Basically, if you can wear a shirt or a jacket, you can wear a shacket.
Final Thoughts
So there you have it. The Shacket: born for work, built for comfort, perfected by Criquet. Whether it’s nylon, wool, or whatever’s next, consider it your new go-to layer for fall and beyond.
Cheers,
Hob & Billy
